Labyrinth by cozywelton Labyrinth by cozywelton
Ah, Labyrinth. A childhood favourite - what am I saying, "childhood"? It still IS a favourite of mine, haha. Bless you, Jim Henson. Wish I still had the photos of me dressed up for Halloween as Bowie in Jareth guise when I was 9 years old. What a little twat I was. XD

So yes, it's David Bowie & Jennifer Connelly as Jareth & Sarah. You knew that though.

Love this Movie! Such a shame we don't have the wonderful man who made this movie. We will always remember Jim Henson!

It's a classic! :)
It's a shame he's gone, but his work will always remain and inspire, so it's not all bad. :D

LOVING the Labyrinth artwork! Reminds me I need to get a DVD copy as it's been such a family favorite (for me, my sister, my wife... the list goes on...)

I still miss Jim Henson. I was in high school when he died. His dream goes on, but it's not quite the same without him (sorry, Brian, a.k.a. voice of Huggle).

I'm surprised you don't have it then! :P

It's always a hard task to follow such an act (and it's Hoggle, not Huggle. Though since the film's running joke is Jareth & Sarah repeatedly getting his name wrong, it doesn't matter too much. XD)

That would explain why I was confused... but didn't Jennifer Connelly pronounce it "Hoggle" in some parts of the film?

On a side note, this film is an awesome example of how contact juggling has gotten big of late-- the stunt guy that did the juggling is THE man that popularized it in recent years. (Yes, that silly Fushigi toy is contact juggling.)

Yes she did, because they became closer friends as the film went on. :P

Michael Moschen is certainly a juggling master.

It's so funny, I was just singing the "dance magic dance, dance magic dance..." part of the song in the movie & I didn't mean to click on this picture at all, but suddenly it was there. That's amazing. I really like how you put them together, and you captured both their outfits perfectly. It's really nice.

It's been 10 years since I first saw this film.... makes me wonder what happened to my life, haha. :) But yes, oh, it's a marvellous film. Always loved Jim Henson and his puppet wizardry. And ahhh, lovely David Bowie. He's the reason I hit puberty. XD

I think the Goblin King forced more than just you into
puberty. x3 I watched it pretty recently after years of
not seeing, it, and it was better than ever. He really
is the King of Glam.. I wonder how many cans of Aqua Net
it took to get his hair like that...

I've watched it every year since I first saw it, some years several times. XD It has a silly fond place in my heart. (I STILL have my Jareth wig tucked away in the dressing-up box. :P There'd better be a fancy dress party soon....)

Probably none, as that was a wig. XD A damn fine one though.

It's one of those movies. You can't say that for too
many of them. I do that with other movies, some of them
are even Disney ones, surprisingly.

If you go out like that, I want pics or it totally didn't happen.

Shows how much I know x3 :iconiderpitplz:

So true. The films I always go back to from childhood are 80s comedies-with-an-otherworldly-element. XD Bill & Ted, Labyrinth, Back to the Future.... I got more into comedy films as I grew up rather than fantasy/sci-fi, but that's the way life goes. Those films are still ridiculously precious to me, haha. :)
